Lady Captains prize
Margaret Cashman’s Lady Captains prize was held on Saturday 16th July. Around 70 ladies played in the competition. This was a fantastic turnout for our popular and hard working Lady Captain. Unfortunately the weather was wet on the day making playing conditions quite challenging .
The ladies met again in the evening for a very enjoyable dinner in the restaurant which was beautifully decorated by Catriona and her staff at Nora May’s. Brid Clarson had fabulous flower arrangements throughout the clubhouse.
Margaret addressed the ladies and thanked everybody for making her day so memorable. She had a special mention for the ladies committee and vice captain Imelda O’Hanlon for their constant support throughout the year.
After the meal all attention was turned to the prize giving. Margaret’s prize was a beautiful bracelet . Congratulations to Catriona White our winner with a great score of 69. Catriona told Margaret that she was delighted to win the Lady Captains prize . This is Catrionas third time to win this prize which is a great achievement. Congratulations also to Carol Merrick who finished in 2nd place with a score of 70.
The ladies had a wonderful day and evening and we wish Margaret continued good wishes for the remainder of the year.
