The Duhallow Shield Ladies Team, under manager Joan Dore,travelled to Kanturk Golf Club to play the first round against Doneraile. The three pairings had very close matches . Catherine McCarthy and Ann Gleeson won their match while Margaret Cashman and Careen Horwood and Linda Curtin and Josephine Moloney both brought their matches to the 18th hole.
