The Ladies Intermediate Cup team travelled to Muskerry Golf Club on Sunday for their first round match against Macroom. Representing Charleville were Joan Dore, Mary Liston , Carol Merrick, Phil Curtin and Anne McEvoy. The team managers were Mary Howard and Margaret Cashman. Playing in very wet and windy conditions the team battled hard but unfortunately Macroom proved too strong for them with a final score of 3-1 and the last match called in. Manager Mary Howard thanked Macroom for a very sporting match and also thanked the Charleville players and caddies.

Challenge Cup . Charleville gave Douglas a bye into the next round.
