There was a great turnout last Wednesday for the Lady Vice Captain’s prize – Imelda O’Hanlon. Thirty nine teams competed in the event. The format of the 3 ball scramble, a waltz, proved to be very popular. The first prize was sponsored by Harmony Body & Beauty Salon, Charleville and Christine O’Riordan Sheahy was in the clubhouse that evening to present the first prize to Damien Lyons, Margaret Lyons and Seamus Lyons. In her speech Imelda thanked club professional, Mark Collins and Jack Ryan , Catriona and staff in the bar and restaurant and she complimented Eoin Buckley and staff on the great condition of the course. She also thanked everybody who had made her day so successful.
Lady Beginners Lessons
This Thursday is the final evening for the ladies who signed up for golf lessons. Over thirty ladies have attended the lessons given by club professional, Mark Collins over the last eight weeks. The ladies were also joined on four evenings by some of the lady members to play a scramble. Everybody has enjoyed the lessons and almost everyone has commented about how beautiful the course is. On Thursday evening there will be a presentation to the beginners and all are welcome to attend.
