The Presidents Prize was held in the Golf Club last weekend. A large number of members played in this prestigious event over the three days with some wet and windy weather to contend with.

At the presentation of prizes in the clubhouse on Saturday night President Jim Harmon thanked the committees and everybody who supported him in his year of office. He mentioned that the course was in magnificent condition thanks to Peter and his staff and also due to the work of the volunteers. Jim praised Cathriona  and her staff in the bar and restaurant. He also thanked Club ambassador David O’Sullivan .

Captain Jim Crowley and Lady Captain Joan Dore both congratulated Jim on his year as President of the Club and then helped him with the presentation of prizes. Jim was joined on the night by members of his family and friends. Congratulations to winners Valerie O’Keeffe and Denis Murphy. Denis is the first person in the Club to win both the Captains prize and Presidents prize.
