The 70th Ladies club A.G.M took place in the clubhouse on Sunday 26th November at 5pm . Secretary Aine McMahon read out the minutes of last years meeting and Treasurer Marie Walsh gave a comprehensive report. The Ladies Club had a good year financially thanks to the good weather and an increase in the number of ladies playing in the competitions.

Outgoing Lady Captain Imelda O’Hanlon thanked the ladies of Charleville Golf Club for having her as Lady Captain and said it was a great honour and privilege for her. She had many fond memories of her year that she will treasure always,,,,especially the day of the Special Olympics and her Lady Captains Day.She mentioned and thanked all our Sponsors. A big effort had been put in this year to attract new Lady members which had been a success and she hoped this trend would continue. She thanked the Ladies committee for their support and friendship throughout the year and also her fellow officers, Jerry Murray and Marie Browne. She hoped that the in coming officers, Joan Dore, Jim Crowley and Jim Harmon, would have a good year.

Imelda made a special presentation to Maria Reape, Olive Connolly and Teresa Flynn for managing the Young at Heart for the last 11 years.

Imelda presented the Jacket to incoming Lady Captain Joan Dore. Joan was delighted to take over as Lady Captain and she thanked Imelda for all her good work over the past year .She said she would do her best in the year ahead to represent the Ladies and the Club.
