Dual winners
Congrats to both Olive Connolly and Siobhan O’Kelly both displaying a rich vein of golfing form at present both winning prizes in two competitions during the week

Fred Daly Trophy 2016
On Saturday afternoon May 21st our Fred Daly Team under the Management of Captain John Chawke and his Vice Captain Jerry Murray travelled to Newcastle West Golf Club to play hot favourites Limerick in the section final of the Fred Daly Trophy.Things didn’t look good for us early on but showing maturity way beyond their years our boys played some great golf to claw their way back into contention. Unfortunately it was not to be and we had to give second best to a very strong Limerick team. 2 Matches went to the 18th, 1 to 17th and 2 to 16th.
Our team was, Conor Slevin, Cathal O’Carroll, Santiago Junquera, David Fitzgerald and Kevin O’Donovan.. Captain John and Team would like to thank our supporters for their encouragement on the day. Best of Luck to Members of the Team who are doing exams next week.

Pierce Purcell Shield 2016.

Our Pierce Purcell Shield Team managed by Gary Kelly played first round match in Roscrea on Saturday last V Castletroy. It was looking good for us with wins for Pat Morris / Jim Brennan and debutants, Mark Lenihan / John Walsh but we were unlucky thereafter with 1 pairing beaten on 19th and the 2 others beaten on 17th.
Thanks to Gary and the team for their efforts and also to the Caddies and Supporters who travelled to Roscrea. Charleville were represented by Danny Deady / David O’Connor, Ger Mullane / Mike O’Regan, Pat Morris / Jim Brennan, Mark Linehan / John Walsh and David O’Sullivan / Joe Carroll.
